Early
Life :
Born
on 9th December, 1949 at Mandi Gobindgarh, Shri Hukam Chand Bansal
son of Late Shri Om Parkash Bansal is a renowned industrialist,
a great visionary and a religious personality. He did his graduation
in Commerce from Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala. Throughout
his academic career he showed keen interest in sports. He has
great shooting skills and has represented University in Basketball.
Career:
His
vision and pragmatism has helped him to become a business leader
and a man of masses. Throughout his career, Sh. Hukam Chand Bansal
has been an active philanthropist. He was President, member and
representative of many social, religious and government organizations
serving the society in different roles.

He was the member of Advisory Committee of ESI, Punjab in 1980.
• In 1982, he was the President of Rotary Club, Mandi Gobindgarh.
• He was the President of House Building Cooperative Society
for three years.
• The promoter of Gymkhana Club, Mandi Gobindgarh established
in 1993. This club acts as a hub for luxurious and other recreational
activities for the people living in small town like Mandi Gobindgarh.
• He is the President of Sanatan Dharam Mahavir Mandir Charitable
Trust, Mandi Gobindgarh. He is also managing Ram Bhavan and Ram
Mandir in the same region. He is actively working to provide to
the public all types of boarding, lodging and other facilities
for social and religious work.
• He is the trustee of Parbhat Puri Hospital and Charitable
Trust. Shri Hukam Chand Bansal is very enthusiastic in providing
all types of medical aid to needy persons.
• Presently , being a Patron of Punjab Basketball Association
he is encouraging and guiding the youth towards this sport for
which the Punjabi people have got great talent and physique.
• He is also the member of Sales Tax Advisory Board, Government
of Punjab.
In the year 1998, Shri Om Parkash Educational and Social Welfare
Trust was established and he entered into an arena to impart technical
, professional and quality education to students of Mandi Gobindgarh
as well as to students all over India. In the same year , Shri
Om Parkash Modern Senior Secondary School was established. Ascertaining
the role, technology would play in the future , the visionary
Chairman setup the Trust's first College, RIMT - Institute of
Management & Computer Technology way back in 2001 running
MBA, MCA, BBA and BCA programmes. Soon after, in 2003 he setup
RIMT- Institute of Engineering & Technology which offers B.Tech.,
MBA and MCA courses. In 2004 , RIMT - College of Architecture
was established providing B.Arch. degree. To continue the endeavour
of providing complete and comprehensive technical education, he
came up with a new technical institute – RIMT Polytechnic
in 2005 which runs Diploma programmes in Engineering. The institute
has been setup with the idea of not just imparting technical know
- how with hands-on training to the students after Matric but
also providing them with personal and spiritual growth thus giving
a competitive advantage to them in this plethora of look-alike
institutes. In the same year , RIMT – College of Education
was established with an aim to provide quality education in newly
emerging modern fields of study and to make such education accessible
to maximum number of deserving students.
His upcoming venture is the new RIMT – Maharaja Aggarsen
Engineering College and a Shooting range at Shri Om Parkash Modern
Senior Secondary School, Mandi Gobindgarh.
RIMT has established itself as a brand name not only in Mandi
Gobindgarh but is also attracting students from U.P. , Bihar ,
Rajasthan and other parts of the country. RIMT is providing placements
in Multi National Companies in all the fields. Many MNCs have
visited RIMT campus and many foreign universities are approaching
RIMT for tie-ups and collaborations.
In
totality, Sh. Hukam Chand Bansal is a formidable, highly respected
