COMMUNICATION SKILLS LABORATORY
The Institute can boast of well equipped fully airconditioned communication skills lab. In today's age language forms the basis in science, technology and management studies. The Communication Skills Lab houses the" RIMT School of Languages" which is a special initiative to promote and develop a skills specific training for the students of all the RIMT Institutes. The RIMT School of Languages provides training for the University of Cambridge's Business English Certificate (BEC). A service agreement between RIMT and the British Council is already in place. An added advantage is that the training is provided by British Council trained and tested teachers. Visits to the British Library at Chandigarh and the British High Commission, New Delhi are a regular feature for students opting for the BEC. Under the RIMT School of Languages the English Literary Club and the English Language Corner have recently been established.
English Literary Club
A platform for various cultural, co-curricular and literary activities on a regular basis, the club encourages voluntary participation from students from across all trades and years.
English Language Corner
With a special emphasis on grooming the "English" communication skills of the students, the English Language Corner houses a special collection of interactive books and journals for specific use by the students. |
