RIMT-Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), Mandi Gobindgarh arranged a pool campus placement drive by Bangalore based Vault Infotech. and New Delhi based Oriental Structural Engineers (OSE) Pvt. Ltd. for B.Tech engineering students.

Chairman of RIMT Group of Institutions, Sh. Hukam Chand Bansal welcomed senior HR officials of Oriental and said that placements for students graduating in 2009 is in full swing and number of IT and core engineering companies are visiting RIMT to hire good talent from this region. He also added that institute is focusing on inviting companies for industrial training cum placement and working with the vision of achieving 100% placement of students.

While giving company presentation, Oriental recruiting team briefed that OSE is one of the leading construction companies having expertise in construction of rigid and flexible pavements for roads, highways and airfields, including bridges, flyovers, embankment with reinforced earth and earthwork.

During 35 years of its existence, OSE has executed pavement works, both rigid and flexible, at 39 airfields and major national / state highways in India and abroad, for National Highways Authority of India, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Roads & Highway Department, Govt. of Bangladesh, Indian Air Force, Central Public Works Dept., Airports Authority of India, State Public Works Depts. and Municipal Corporations etc.

Another renowned IT Company, Vault Infotech, which is an 8-year-old IT Solutions and Services company based in Bangalore with over 450 plus resources working across technologies and industry segments visited RIMT to recruit fresh engineers to be deployed on-site at SAP Labs, Bangalore. More than 500 students from eighteen different engineering colleges appeared in the placement test. Those selected were called for final interview at Delhi.

On the occasion, Dr. Pritpal Singh, Principal of RIMT Engg. College and Prof. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Principal expressed satisfaction on the placement drive and said that centralized placement department of RIMT group has attracted many big engineering corporate to this region and the department have been working exhaustively to provide more employment opportunities to fresh engineers passing out in 2009.
