Noida based HCL Technologes Ltd. visited RIMT Group of Institutions, Mandi Gobindgarh to recruit B.Tech and MCA students. The drive was specifically for students passing out in 2008.
While welcoming the company officials, Chairman of RIMT group of institutions, Sh. Hukam Chand Bansal, said that HCL is a leading global Technology and IT Enterprise with annual revenues of US$ 4.4 billion. The HCL team comprises 51,000 professionals of diverse nationalities, operating across 18 countries including 360 points of presence in India. HCL has global partnerships with several leading Fortune 1000 firms, including several IT and Technology majors.
Speaking on the placements at RIMT, he said that RIMT’s vision is not only limited to grooming students academically but also professionally and is working to provide employment opportunities to maximum number of students of this region, which in turn will secure their future and give their career a stability.
Dr. Pritpal Singh, Principal of the institute, extended warm welcome to company officials and applauded efforts of training and placement department for working for the betterment of students by getting renowned companies to campus and offering placement opportunities. He also mentioned that placements in RIMT is touching new heights as 43 companies had visited RIMT in the year 2007 in which top companies were LnT Infotech Mumbai, Hexaware Technologies Chennai, TCE Consulting Engineers Mumbai, Nucleus Software Noida and Sierra Atlantic Software Hyderabad.
While giving company presentation, officials mentioned that HCL BPO is a division of HCL Technologies Limited, a Global Technology and IT enterprise. HCL is a 31 year old enterprise and operating out of 17 countries. HCL BPO is one of the early players in Business Process Outsourcing in the world. Having over 11,800 professionals operating out of India and Northern Ireland. The company runs eleven centers in India and has tremendous growth prospects for freshers.
Er. Harmit Singh Taluja, Head Training & Placement Dept. said that more than 522 students from 26 colleges participated in the said drive. Out of which 104 cleared the first round and finally 42 students were handed over offer letters for the post of technical support executive with an annual package varying from 1.5 to 2.5 lacs per annum. The location will be Noida and students can join immediately after completing the final semester exams.

Prof. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Principal expressed satisfactions over the placement drive and said that company officials were really impressed by the hospitality and infrastructure of the college.
