The department of Mechanical Engineering successfully organized a two day AICTE sponsored national conference “Latest Developments in Mechanical & Production Engineering” - LDMPE’08 from June 13-14. In the conference eminent persons and research scholars from various fields actively participated and enlightened the faculty and students of the various current and upcoming areas for research. More than 75 delegates from across the country attended the conference. The Chairman of RIMT Institutes, Shri Hukam Chand Bansal inaugurated the conference and released the copy of conference proceedings. The keynote address was given by eminent Professor of the region Dr. Buta Singh from GZSCE Bathinda and guest of honor was Prof. K.P.Singh from SLIET Longowal The invited talks were delivered by Dr. S.K.Mahopatra, Dr. J.K.Sharma and Dr Sehijpal Singh. More than 20 papers were presented by the delegates from across the nation. RIMT-IET Principal Dr. Pritpal Singh distributed the mementos to the guests and Prof. Harsh Sadawarti Vice-Principal RIMT-IET distributed the certificates to the delegates. Prof Deepinder Singh Convenor of the conference extended the vote of thanks.
