April 02, 2009 – e-VISION, the technical Club  of  ECE Department of RIMT-IET in collaboration with EEAST a Chandigarh based company, organized a workshop on Robotics & Embedded systems for 4th semester electronics and communication engineering students of RIMT-IET & RIMT-Maharaja Aggrasen Engg. college. Mr Rajneesh Talwar HOD ECE and founder of the e-Vision club told the correspondent that the department has been organising workshops in each semester to make students aware of the latest technical knowhow. Moreover students are able to correlate the theoretical knowledge with the practical one. Hukam Chand Bansal, Chairman of the RIMT Group of Institutes, appreciated efforts of Mr Talwar in organizing such events for the benefit of students. Shri S.K.Ahluwalia, Chief Director General inaugurated the workshop. Principal, RIMT-IET Dr. Pritpal Singh, Dr S.S..Virdi Principal, RIMT-MAEC & Vice Principal, Mr. Harsh Sadawarti congratulated and appreciated Mr. Rajneesh Talwar efforts to technically make the students aware of the latest know-how. Mr. Rajneesh Talwar informed that students of ECE have shown keen interest in all the activities of the club and several other activities such as Industrial Visits, paper presentations by students and other such events are planned for the upcoming semesters. Company Persons from EEAST, a Chandigarh based Company, explained basics of Robotics and Embedded Systems and took up the practical session for the students. The company had collaborated with Electronics department to hold this workshop. Rajneesh Talwar thanked the company persons from EEAST Technologies for enhancing the knowledge of students related to Robotics and Embedded Systems and making them aware of the software related to these. Certificates and trophies were given to students who had participated in Technical Quiz, Group discussion and Aptitude test conducted earlier by eVision.
