Volvo Eicher offered 4 Lacs package to RIMT engineers

Another milestone has been achieved by Training and Placement department of RIMT engineering institutes as recently automobile giant VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (VECV), a 50-50 joint venture of Eicher Motors Limited, Gurgaon and AB Volvo, Sweden visited RIMT engineering institutes for recruiting final year students of B.Tech Mechanical stream.

With offered package of Rs. 4 lacs per annum by VECV to RIMT students, the post-recession phase in Indian job market is reflecting signs of recovery as number of companies are visiting engineering institutes at Punjab for their immediate or future requirements, said Mr. Vijayant Bansal, Vice Chairman of RIMT group, Mandi Gobindgarh. He added that this is the second time Eicher motors from Gurgaon is visiting RIMT engineering institutes. While extended warm welcome to company officials he also said VECV includes the complete range of Eicher’s commercial vehicles, components and engineering design businesses as well as the sales & distribution of Volvo Trucks.

Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Principal, RIMT-IET said that RIMT stands committed to provide valuable, hirable and skillful resource to its partner recruiters and our efforts in producing polished students is visible as MNC’s are visiting repeatedly for their fresh B.Tech engineer’s requirements.

Recruiting HR team members started the recruitment drive with company presentation followed by online test, group discussion and personal interview.

Jagpal Singh Bahra, a final year student of B.Tech mechanical stream said that we are really thankful to college authorities for inviting MNC’s in campus and providing us maximum placements opportunities. Prof. H.S.Taluja, Director Training and Placement said that a faculty development meeting was also arranged and an enlightening session was taken by HR team member of VECV to work towards bridging the gap between industry and institute.
