One week Faculty Development Program on “Understanding & Implementation of Technology in Teaching” sponsored by Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar organized at RIMT-Institute of Engineering and Technology in which thirty faculty members from different Engineering & Management branches took part. At the valedictory function Mr. Vijayant Bansal, Vice Chairman, RIMT Group of Institutes was the Chief Guest. Mr Vijayant Bansal, said that to build world class Professional Engineers & Managers we are committed to provide the latest educational methodologies & technology to the faculty members. He further added that RIMT Group will concentrate on Research & Development. During the address, Dr Harsh Sadawarti, Campus Director, expressed his view on the need and importance of such programmes and informed that in the month of April, 2012 one AICTE sponsored FDP will be organized. He also said that teachers are the best source of motivation and guidance to the young generation and they should fulfill their social responsibility. On this occasion Dr. Bimal Anjum, HOD Management Department and Convener of FDP, proposed the vote of thanks and concluded the views of Prof. JPS Sibia, Dr. Mohinder Singh, Director Academic Staff , Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Dr. D. R. Vij , Educationist , Dr. Sanjay Kaushik, Professor, University Business School, Punjab University, Chandigarh, Dr. Brij Pal, Dr. R. K. Uppal, Dr. Sandhya Mehta, Dr. Roshan Lal, Dr. Ashok Khurana, Dr. Heera Lal, who shared their views and experiences with the participants during the various sessions of FDP. In the valedictory function Mr. Rakesh Mohan, Dean Academics, Mr. Sachin Sharma, Ms. Kavita Sharma, Ms. Shubhreet Kaur , Ms. Uma Kashyap & Ms Harpominder also shared their views with the participants. Certificates were distributed to the participants by Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Director, Dr D R Vij, Educationist and Dr Bimal Anjum Convener of this FDP .
