Department of Civil Engineering, RIMT – Institute of Engineering & Technology Mandi Gobindgarh in association with Autodesk & Aileron organised a Pilot Certification "Associate Test on AutoCAD 2011". Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Director of the Institute expressed his satisfaction on selection of RIMT-IET for such programme and said that such online tests are very important and very beneficial for the students. He said, every student should be very friendly with Auto CAD as Auto CAD is one of the best software that can be used by many branches of engineering and architecture. He gave his best wishes to the participants for the test. Prof. Sandeep Singla, Head of Civil Engineering Department(CED) gave a warm welcome to the Autodesk-Aileron team and thanked them for conducting the test. He also thanked Dr. Sadawarti for providing such an opportunity to the department for conducting the online test for students. Two members of Aileron Team, Mr. Sarabpreet Baljinder Singh Isher, and Mr. .Sahil Kumar conducted the test in the campus. Forty (40) Candidates appeared in the test. Aileron team also interacted with students before and after the test. During the interaction Mr. Sarabpreet told the audience that Auto CAD is like a human which interacts with you while working and also discussed the importance of AutoCAD and other related software. Er. Anuj Sachar, Asst. Prof. CED & Er. Sahil Pathania, Asst. Prof. CED guided the students for the test and gave vote of thanks to the Aileron team. Faculty members of civil engineering department and Heads of other Departments were also present during the event.
